From October 21 to 25, Professor Guanglei ZHU, Chair Professor at Nankai University and Chair of the Academic Committee at Zhou Enlai School of Government, was invited to visit Turkey, where he engaged in academic exchanges at Yeditepe University and Middle East Technical University. Ning ZHANG, Vice Dean of the Zhou Enlai School of Government accompanied the visit.

During the visit, Professor Guanglei ZHU first visited Yeditepe University, where he received a warm welcome from Vice President Ahmet Aydin and other university leaders. Both sides reviewed the history of collaboration between Nankai University and Yeditepe University in areas such as academic exchange, student and faculty visits, and the development of the Confucius Institute. Both parties discussed further opportunities to deepen the cooperation. 

Professor Guanglei ZHU delivered a lecture titled "Transformation of China’s Social Stratification," providing a comprehensive analysis of the historical background, main types, and contemporary characteristics of social stratification in China.

Later, Professor Guanglei ZHU visited Middle East Technical University, where he met with Professor Kursad Ertugrul, Head of the Department of Political Science and Public Administration, and faculty of Confucius Institute of METU. They exchanged ideas and reached an agreement to enhance collaboration in the future.

During the visit, Professor Guanglei ZHU also met with some Nankai alumni in Turkey, sharing updates on recent developments of Nankai University and its 105th anniversary celebrations. He also expressed his regards and greetings to NKU alumni.
