On March 14th,Professor Evandro Menezes de Carvalho（Chinese name：GAO Wenyong）, Director of the Brazil-China Research Center of FGV, recipient of the 2023 Chinese Government Friendship Award, and senior visiting scholar at PKU School of Government, visited ZSG andgave a lecture on "Prospects for a Latin America Silk Road".

Vice Dean Xiaolin Wu of ZSG met with Professor Evandro Menezes de Carvalho and presided over the speech. Jing Zhang, Director of the America and Oceania Division in the Foreign Affairs Office of Tianjin Municipal People’s Government, Vice Dean Ning Zhang of  ZSG, Director Cuiwen Wang of  the International Relations Department in ZSG, Director Guohui Dong of  the Latin American Research Center at the School of History, and relevant teachers from the School of Foreign Languages and the Office of International Affairs of NKU joined the event.

The year 2024 marks the 30th anniversary of the establishment of the strategic partnership between China and Brazil and the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries. In this context, Professor Gao Wenyong's lecture holds special significance. On behalf of the faculty and students of ZSG, Prof. WU Xiaolin once again extended a warm welcome and gratitude to Professor Gao Wenyong after the lecture.

Professor Gao Wenyong is an expert in international law and the Director of the Brazil-China Research Center at FGV. He is the recipient of the 2023 Chinese Government Friendship Award and currently serves as the Chief Executive Editor of Brazilian edition of "China Today" magazine. He is also a senior visiting scholar at PKU School of Government. Previously, he held positions as a senior foreign expert at the Fudan University BRICS Research Center and as a visiting professor at Shanghai University.
